The analysis of music is a life-long learning process that helps a musician to understand, to hear and to perform a work of art. The
principal outcome of this course should be an increased awareness of the elements of musical form and how they are important in
developing an interpretation of that musical work. While there is an inherent challenge in describing music through the written word, the
final project will be a written analysis with either a live performance or multiple recordings
