Qualified students may conduct original laboratory, field research, or independent study under a faculty member’s supervision. A student
may use four credits of research to satisfy one of the upper-level requirements in Environmental Science, or as one of the elective
requirements in Environmental Studies. Students may earn a maximum of four credits for ENVS 451 and 452. Interested students should
consult the appropriate ENVS faculty member. With approval of the director of the Environmental Studies and Sciences program, this
course may fulfill the Environmental Experience required for Environmental Studies and Sciences majors and minors.
