This course is designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge to properly prepare general-purpose financial statements and to develop an understanding of the purpose, usefulness, and limitations of financial accounting information. Topics include, but are not limited to, accounting research, accrual accounting, revenue recognition, cash presentation, net receivables, inventory valuation, property and equipment, goodwill impairment, investments, and footnote disclosures.
