Study of non-fictional texts, literature, art, and culture of wartime in central Europe. Students explore themes including violence, black markets, hunger, gender roles, and religious persecution. The language of instruction is English. German Studies 342 is reserved for majors and minors who will do substantial portions of coursework in German.
