PHIL 228 Ethics in Action

Ethics in Action is an intensive applied ethics course focused on cases drawn from areas such as the classroom (e.g., cheating or plagiarism), personal relationships (e.g., dating or friendship), professional ethics (e.g., engineering, law, medicine), and social and political ethics (e.g., free speech, gun control, abortion). Ethics in Action students learn about and analyze current moral and social issues, and develop important skills of public speaking and teamwork. Coupled with the Ethics Bowl PHIL 229 practicum, students enrolled in PHIL 228 will represent Rhodes College at regional and national Ethics Bowl competitions.

Students will earn F11 by taking 3 or more credits of PHIL 228 and PHIL 229
