Preparation for Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl competitions. Ethics Bowl students prepare written and oral arguments on the cases created by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics for regional and national ethics bowl competitions each year. Students will critically evaluate cases in applied ethics, formulate sound and defensible arguments, and practice public speaking, active listening, and both asking and answering questions. Students who participate in the practicum are eligible to compete as members of the Rhodes College Ethics Bowl team in the APPE Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl competitions.
Students will earn F11 by taking 3 or more credits of PHIL 228 and PHIL 229.
