BIOL 321 Animal Behavior with Lab

Fall
4, 1

This course takes an integrative approach to understanding why animals do the things they do. We will cover mechanisms of behavior (genetics, neural circuits, hormones), how behavior develops through learning, and the evolution and function of behavior. We will discuss topics such as perception, foraging behavior, reproductive behavior, conflict and cooperation, parental care, and communication. In the lab portion of the course, we will observe and perform experiments with live animals in the lab and field.
