An exploration of how organizations can create a more inclusive and equitable corporate climate, which will allow them to learn from and enhance the potential of employees from all backgrounds. Discussions and assignments will examine research on and practical solutions for management of global and diverse workforces. The course will begin with research on the development of personal stereotypes as well as systemic discrimination in society and will progress into the utilization of specific human resources policies to enhance the organizational culture and climate. Students will be introduced to metrics and statistical analyses commonly used to identify and track the success of DEI initiatives throughout various stages of employment. (Course offered in alternate years.)
