CHEM 460 Chemistry Internship

A course designed to give students experience in applications of chemistry, such as chemical research, chemical education, and technology, guided by a chemical professional mentor. Students may work on or off campus depending on the preferences of the sponsoring company or institution. Examples of possible work areas include but are not limited to chemical manufacturing, product discovery, research and development, forensic characterization, and teaching chemistry and related STEM subjects to K-12 students. Successful completion will consist of a written report and an oral presentation.
