Addressing broad questions of cultural exchange, postcolonial identies, and the diversity of the francophone world, this course will take varied thematic approaches and regional focuses (such as North and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, Quebec, Louisiana.) These themes and regions will be studies through various media such as music, film, literature, and historical texts.
