This course introduces the study of international relations, exploring how states, global institutions, and non-state actors shape our interconnected world. Students examine international security, political economy, diplomacy, and law, while exploring the causes of conflict, cooperation, and inequality on a global scale. Using theory alongside real-world case studies, the course challenges students to think critically about the forces behind international events, how global decisions affect everyday life, and what it means to navigate and understand a complex, ever-changing world.
