PLAW 284 Supreme Court Seminar

An examination of four-five courses currently before the Supreme Court. Students will be tasked with reading underlying cases related to the ones selected for review, analyzing Court trends, and preparing written opinions consistent with court precedent that anticipates how the Supreme Court will resolve the case. Students will also engage in moot court exercises to further test their understanding of the legal issues. Past cases have involved first amendment rights, immigration, copyright law, and criminal law. Prerequisite: PLAW 151. Students who previously completed PLAW 283: Constitutional Law may not register for this class.
