Students explore the professional and cultural aspects of the German business world. Crafting career portfolios and participating in mock interviews, B1 students hone their vocabulary and grammatical abilities by way of authentic case studies and relevant role play. By engaging with guest speakers working in Germany and analyzing relevant films, texts, and cultural objects, students are encouraged to draw critical comparisons between business and professional life in Germany and North America amid the global economy. The language of instruction is German and corresponds to standard proficiency guidelines for "advanced low" (B2.1) language learners.
