Requirements for a Minor in Statistics

A total of twenty-four (20) credits as follows:

  1. One course from: Math 211, Psych 211, or Econ 290.
  2. Mathematics 212.
  3. Three additional courses from: Math 235, Math 311, Math 312, Math 330, Math 333, and Econ 420.

Students planning to pursue graduate study in statistics are strongly encouraged to select Math 311 and Math 312 from the courses listed above and to take:

  1. Math 112, 122, 223, or equivalent three course calculus sequence.
  2. Math 201 Transitions to Advanced Mathematics.
  3. Math 261 Linear Algebra.
  4. Math 321 Real Analysis.
